Alsulaiman Group CEO, Saud Alsulaiman Participates in RLC Global Forum Panel on the Future of Saudi Retail Competitiveness

 Alsulaiman Group CEO, Saud Alsulaiman, has participated in a panel discussion at RLC Global Forum in Riyadh, exploring the future of retail competitiveness in Saudi Arabia and the key factors shaping the sector’s continued growth.   The discussion interconnected elements that drive a competitive retail ecosystem, including policy and regulation, urban planning, technology, and the operational realities of running and scaling retail businesses.     During the session, Saud highlighted that competitiveness is measured not only by expansion but also by operational excellence, business performance, and the ability to reduce the cost and complexity of doing business.   He also emphasized that strong collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to developing practical solutions that support the future of Saudi Arabia’s retail industry.   The panel also featured Farah Ismail, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Dr. Martyn Davies, Head of City Excellence and Retail Sector Leader at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, and Fares Akkad, Regional Director for MENA at Meta. Together, the speakers underscored the importance of aligning policy, urban development, technology, and business models to strengthen retail competitiveness while keeping productivity, operational performance, and customer experience at the heart of the sector’s transformation.
