عشرون عامًا من الشغف والتحديات مع مجموعة السليمان وايكيا
تفخر مجموعة السليمان بمسيرة تمتد لعقدين من الزمن، جسّدها زميلنا فوّاز السّهلي، الذي بدأ رحلته مع ايكيا عام 2004 بخطوات متواضعة كطالب جامعي يعمل بدوام جزئي في قسم المفروشات براتب 15 ريالًا في الساعة. لم تكن مجرد وظيفة، بل كانت الشرارة الأولى لشغفه ببيئة العمل التي جعلت منه قصة نجاح ملهمة.
من هناك، تدرج فوّاز بخطوات واثقة؛ إذ التحق لاحقًا بالتدريب العملي في قسم المالية ليكتشف شغفه بلغة الأرقام، ثم انضم رسميًا في فبراير 2006 كمحاسب إقليمي، وبعد خمس سنوات تمت ترقيته إلى محاسب أول إقليمي.
عام 2013 شكّل محطة فارقة حين أسس قسم الميزانية والتخطيط من الصفر، بدعم مباشر من الرئيس التنفيذي للمجموعة سعود السليمان. كانت تجربة مليئة بالتحديات والإنجازات عززت مكانة المجموعة ورسخت خبرته في التخطيط والتحليل المالي.
ومع توسع المجموعة عام 2021، انتقل فوّاز لقيادة إدارة الخزينة، حيث واجه متطلبات السيولة، ودعم صفقات الاستحواذ، وأعاد إعادة هيكلة اتفاقيات التمويل بما يتماشى مع استراتيجية المجموعة. ورغم التحديات المتمثلة في ارتفاع معدلات الفائدة والتضخم، نجح في تحقيق التوازن بين الكلفة والربحية عبر علاقات قوية مع البنوك السعودية الكبرى.
كما تولى إدارة محفظة التأمين للمجموعة (الممتلكات والطبي)، ليضيف قيمة جديدة من خلال إدارة المخاطر والحفاظ على أسعار تنافسية، مستفيدًا من خبرته العميقة في التخطيط والتحليل المالي.
اليوم، وبعد 20 عامًا من العطاء، ترى مجموعة السليمان في رحلة فوّاز السّهلي شهادة حية على ما نصنعه معًا: شغف بالأرقام، حلول خلاقة، وروح فريق واحد لا يعرف المستحيل.
20 Years of Passion and Challenges with Alsulaiman Group and IKEA
Alsulaiman Group proudly celebrates a journey that spans two decades, embodied by our coworker Fawaz Alsehli, who began his path with IKEA in 2004. As a university student working part-time in the furniture department for 15 SAR an hour, what seemed like a simple job became the spark of a passion that shaped an inspiring success story.
From those early steps, Fawaz advanced with confidence. He later joined the finance department as a trainee, where he discovered his true passion for numbers. In February 2006, he officially became a Country Accountant, and five years later, he was promoted to Senior Country Accountant.
A defining milestone came in 2013, when he established the Budgeting and Planning Department from the ground up, with the direct support of Group CEO Saud Alsulaiman. The experience was filled with challenges and achievements that strengthened the Group’s capabilities and deepened his expertise in financial planning and analysis.
With the Group’s expansion in 2021, Fawaz took on a new role leading Treasury Management. He addressed liquidity requirements, supported acquisitions, and restructured financing agreements in line with the Group’s strategy. Despite challenges such as rising interest rates and inflation, he succeeded in balancing cost and profitability through strong partnerships with leading Saudi banks.
In addition, he managed the Group’s insurance portfolio—covering both property and healthcare—bringing added value through effective risk management and maintaining competitive rates. His extensive background in financial planning and analysis enabled him to transform theory into tangible impact for the Group.
Today, after 20 years of dedication, Alsulaiman Group views Fawaz Alsehli’s journey as a living testament to what we create together: passion for numbers, innovative solutions, and a team spirit that knows no limits.
